Quotes About Yawm al-Qiyamah (The Day of Judgment)
“A man asked the Prophet ﷺ: When is the Day of Judgment, O messenger of Allah? He said: "What have you prepared for it?" He said: "I have not prepared much prayer, fasting, or charity for it, but I love Allah and His messenger." The Prophet said: "You will be with the ones you love."
“Look to the action you would love to have accredited to you in the hereafter and perform it today and look to the action you would hate to have accredited to you in the hereafter and abandon it today.
“al-Hasan al-Basri was asked: "Who is going to cry more than others on the Day of Resurrection?"
He answered: "A man on whom Allah has bestowed His Grace and who uses that for Allah's disobedience."
“We will be asked, “what did you love most in this world? What did you spend life doing? What did you run after? Will it last? The things that you chased, will they last? Will they help you, or will they hurt you when the illusion of this life has passed?
“Allah knows when you’re trying and the only thing that counts on the day of judgment is sincerely being able to say to Him: “I tried my best.”
“On the Day of Judgment, the servant of Allah will be given his book of deeds, where he finds rewards for things he did not do, so he asks: O My Lord, where did I get these deeds?
So Allah replies to him saying: These are because of the people who backbited you and you did not know about it.
“It is a fortunate person who (on the Day of Judgement) finds in their record many prayers for God's forgiveness.
“On that Day, we will see the true reality. On that Day, we will realize that two rak`at (units) of prayer were greater than everything in the heavens and the earth. We will realize the priceless check that was left on our doorstep every night as we slept. There will come a day when we would give up everything under the sky just to come back and pray those two rak`at.
“Ignoring a Reality doesn’t make it less Real. It’s still going to happen. Being unprepared for something doesn’t stop it from happening.
