“To be ignorant and think you are free is a contradiction in terms.

Tariq Ramadan

“Every morning brings fresh hopes of a better day with greater productivity. May the Almighty bless you. Have an awesome day.

Mufti Ismail Menk

“The servant, no matter how much effort he expends, cannot carry out his duties toward Allah in the way that He has commanded him, and for this reason he can do nothing but pray to God forgiveness and make repentance after every act of worship.

Ibn Taymiyyah

“If it were not for the fact that I dislike that Allah is disobeyed, I would have wished that no one remain in this city except that he had spoken ill of me and backbitten me; for what is nicer than a good deed a man finds in his records on the Day of Resurrection without having done a thing or even having known?

Abdurrahman bin Mahdi

“The essence of tawbah is to return to Allāh and to adhere to what He loves and renounce that which He dislikes. Tawbah is a journey from the disliked to the liked.

Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah

“In God, there is no sorrow or suffering or affliction. If you want to be free of all affliction and suffering, hold fast to God, and turn wholly to Him, and to no one else. Indeed, all your suffering comes from this: that you do not turn towards God.

Abu Hamid al-Ghazali

“A true test of great character is when we can maintain it in the face of those who are rude, offensive and lack in basic morals and conduct.

Mufti Ismail Menk

“If generous people invite you to a meal and you see the smiles on their faces and the plentiful food, you will remember them as long as you live and will do your best to repay them. You will talk to everyone you know of these hospitable people.

So what do you say of Him Who has taken charge of you and showered His bounties on you from cradle to grave? You eat only of what He has provided; you cover yourself only with the clothing He has given you; you take shelter only under His roof; and you do not escape from any hardship except with His help.

Muhammad al-Ghazali

“Get yourself out of this limited world of diseases to the wide world of the hereafter, which has what the eyes have never seen. Nothing is impossible there, and love is not lost.

O you who sold yourself for the sake of something that will cause you suffering and pain, and which will also lose its beauty, you sold the most precious item for the cheapest price, as if you neither knew the value of the goods nor the meanness of the price. Wait until you come on the Day of mutual loss and gain and you will discover the injustice of this contract.

"There is no God but Allah" is something that Allah is buying. Its price is Paradise, and the Messenger is its agent, and you will be pleased to part with a small part of this worldly life to obtain it. The part you lose is a small part of something that as a whole is not worth a mosquito’s wing.

Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah

“From the outset, the Quran presents itself as the mirror of the universe. The term that the first Western translators rendered as "verse"-referring to biblical vocabulary-literally means, in Arabic, "sign" (ayah). Thus, the revealed Book, the written text, is made up of signs (ayat), just as the universe, like a text spread out before our eyes, is teeming with signs. When the heart’s intelligence, and not only analytical intelligence, reads the Quran and the world, then the two texts address and echo each other, and each of them speaks of the other and of the One. The signs remind us of what it means to be born, to live, to think, to feel, and to die. By its highly evocative form and contents, as well as by its spiritual power, the Quran is Islam’s miracle.

Tariq Ramadan

“And if you reflect on most people’s situation, you will find that they look at their rights over Allah and do not look at Allah’s right over them, and from here is where they broke off from Allah.

Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyyah

“The Muslims will keep their place among the nations of the world so long as they carry out the religious duty of reflecting.

Abbas Mahmud el-Akkad

“You will never meet Allah with anything better for you than having few sins. Whoever wants to surpass those who exert themselves in worship, let him stop himself from committing numerous sins.

Aisha bint Abu Bakr (Wife of Prophet Muhammad)

“The way you talk to Allah will have an impact on the way you talk to yourself.

Tariq Ramadan

“Don’t ever let any mistake or sinful habit convince you that your prayers aren’t worth it.

Abdel Rahman Murphy

“Remembrance is to the heart what water is to the fish. And what is the state of a fish that leaves water?

Ibn Taymiyyah
