“A man leaves from his house having sins similar in size to the Mount of Tuhaama. But when he hears some knowledge, he becomes fearful and repents. He returns to his home afterwards with no sins. Thus you should never abandon attending the gatherings of the scholars.

Umar ibn al-Khattab

“Allah said to Musa (AS): “And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)” (20:41).
Some of us want to run the marathon without the training. We forget that even dough is prepared before it becomes bread. Your soul is being prepared. Like dough, it’s kneaded. Don’t lose yourself in the pain of kneading. Rise above your circumstance. Rise above your pain. Every process has its conclusion. Every circumstance comes to an end. Your circumstance is only the tool. *You* are the one being prepared and raised and developed. You are the one being grown. Rise up beyond this pain. Rise up and see through. There is something greater waiting for you on the other side: The stronger, purer, freer you.
Remember: He is greater than this pain. He is greater. Allahu Akbar.

Yasmin Mogahed

“Where your mind goes during prayer is where your heart is. Take it back to your Lord.

Abdulbary Yahya

“Someone, somewhere right now is fighting for his or her life. You still have yours, be thankful and spend it in the obedience of Allah.

Abdulbary Yahya

“As I look back on my life, I realize that every time I thought I was being rejected from something good; I was actually being re-directed to something better. You must convince your heart that whatever Allah has decreed is most appropriate and most beneficial for you.

Abu Hamid al-Ghazali

“At the Ka’bah tonight, the Imam made such a beautiful Dua. He prayed, “O Allah make us from those who sought your guidance, so you guided them.
O Allah make us from those who sought your forgiveness, so you forgave them.
O Allah make us from those who sought your aid, so you championed them.
(And this last part is my favorite)
O Allah make us from those who placed their trust only in you, and so you were all that they needed.”
Ameen. Ameen. Ameen.

Muhammad Alshareef

“Don’t announce your problems to the world looking for sympathy. Most don’t care, many don’t want to hear them and some are glad you have them. Address your concerns to Allah, He’s always there and He can help.

Abdulbary Yahya

“A lot of people have trouble balancing the love of the Creator and the love of the creation. It is something I myself have struggled with much of my life. On the one extreme, there are people who love the creation as they should only love the Creator. On the other extreme, there are those who reject the love of the creation all together. I think the correct balance is to understand it this way: We have only one Owner over our hearts. That Owner is God. But our hearts also yearn for companionship. The heart searches for its’ companion in the creation. And finding that companion of our heart is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. It is the ‘coolness of the eyes’ that the Quran speaks about. The problem is when we confuse *Ownership* and *companionship*. We take the creation as Owners and take the Creator as only a companion. And God knows best.

Yasmin Mogahed

“If you refuse to leave something wrong for the fear of ‘losing out’ on your happiness, you have doubted in His Power to replace it with something that is much better and comforting for you in this world and the next.

Tawfique Chowdhury

“If the Quran isn’t enough to change us and affect our hearts, then nothing else will. We need to stop looking for some out of body, supernatural, crazy experience. The Quran is THE ultimate experience.
Pick it up. Read it. Understand it. Live it.

Abdul Nasir Jangda

“All too often people concentrate on finding the right spouse, little realizing that half of any marriage is being the right spouse.

Yasir Qadhi

“You [Abu Bakr as-Siddiq] were the first of the people to accept Islaam, and the most sincere of them in Eeman (faith). You were the best of them as a companion, and the most like the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) in both guidance and humility, and the most generous of them to him. You succeeded him in the Religion well when the people left Islaam, and you held firm to the methodology of the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). You were like a mountain that was not moved by the storm nor crushed by the quake. You are modest with yourself, and great with Allaah. And the closest people to you are the most obedient to Allaah, and the most pious. May Allaah make you join the company of his Messenger, and may He not deprive us of your reward. And may He not lead us astray after you.

Imam Ali bin Abi Talib

“We learn, when it's too late, that the value of life is in living it--to live every day and hour of it.

Muhammad al-Ghazali

“The Christ, peace be upon him, passed by a group of Jews who spoke evil towards him. He replied in a good and kind manner to them. It was said to him: "They are speaking evil words to you, and you say good words to them?" He said: "Everyone spends from what he has."

Muhammad al-Ghazali

“Allah (swt) told Musa (as) to be nice to Firaun. Firaun tried to kill Musa (as) when he was just a baby. Firaun killed a thousand babies every year. He called himself God. There’s so many reasons to hate Firaun and Allah (swt) says when you go to him, be nice to him. If you have to be nice to Firaun, what about your wife? What about your husband? your children? your parents? your siblings? your cousins? your uncle? These are the people that make us angry. Family makes you really angry, I know. But these are the people that deserve the softest responses from us. We have to change the way we behave with them.

Nouman Ali Khan

“Man has free will in the things he has knowledge about, but is pushed forward by other forces in the things he has no knowledge about. In other words, his freedom increases whenever his knowledge increases.

Muhammad al-Ghazali

“If you think deeply about the conditions of people, you will find those who are most concerned with the faults of others to have the most faults themselves.

Al-Jahiz

“Everyone will meet Allah, but only some will get to be with Him forever.

Shaykh Omar Suleiman
