حم (1) وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ (2) إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآَنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ (3) وَإِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ (4) أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنْكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَنْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا مُسْرِفِينَ (5) وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ (6) وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ

Translation
Ha, Meem. I swear by the Book that makes things clear: Surely We have made it an Arabic Quran that you may understand. And verily, it is in the Mother of the Book, in Our Presence, high (in dignity), full of wisdom. Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people? And how many a prophet have We sent among the ancients. And there came not to them a prophet but they mocked at him.
