IslamQA: Is using healing crystals haram?

assalamu aleikum, do you know anything about “healing crystals” and if it is shirk to own them? not just as a decoration but to believe that they better our mental/physical state? maybe there’s some science behind it that i don’t understand but it doesn’t seem compatible with islam to me

Alaikumassalam wa rahmatullah,

There is no scientific evidence that healing crystals have any benefit. But from the Islamic point of view it depends on your intention whether it is acceptable or not to use them. If you think they may have a natural healing power similar to drugs and herbs, then that is not idolatry (shirk) since idolatry only applies to beliefs about things having mystical and supernatural benefits. But if someone believes healing crystals have mystical and supernatural powers to bring benefit into one’s life and bypass God’s decrees, then that is idolatry and therefore forbidden.

And God knows best.

hey, I am a Muslim and want to know that if owning crystals, with no belief in them whatsoever, for example healing properties etc, is haram. For example, as decoration and as jewellery ?
Thank you xx

Salam,
Owning crystals as decorations is not haraam. What’s haraam is believing they make a supernatural impact on your life.

manifestation is haram as it is the belief that the universe will grant your wishes rather than Allah (swt). It is also haram to manifest because you are being distracted from praying.

No it’s not because you’re manifesting from Allah not from the universe. Or even if it’s from the universe, it is to Allah who created the universe.

Mb the New Age moderns form of manefestatiom is haram. But Manifestation is the beliefe the Heavens, the Cosmic Chi, derived from the Creator of the Universe uses His ways and His Angels to manifest what you most desire. Maybe opening more doors amd creatimg oppurtunities. So how is that any different in making Dua. Of course we use the term Dua because we are Muslims, but those agnostica out there also beliefe is such matter. If you want Allah to be forgiving he will forgive. Don’t let the western world’s corruption ruint the art Manifestation. As a Alternative Medicine and Spiritual Healer, I can offer voew point that you may notbe accustomed to. If a muslim accepts modern medecine, though it is purely derived from Darwinismx false science, the erradication of God from Healing, they surely will fin a way to erradicate God from Spirituality even in Holistic medecine.

ive done some research and
manifestation: not only halal but encouraged, and adding ‘inshallah’ to the end of your scripting even makes it more likely to come true

crystals: if you believe that they could help w healing body and mind like herbs and medicine, its alright. but if you believe that it could benefit you in the way that allah does (giving you fortunes, material things) thats shirk

connecting w spirits as far as i know is definitely haram and falls under the category of witchcraft. be safe out there <3

Assalamu alaikum!
I have wondered if its haram to communicet with spirits/ghost or not. I asked my quran teacher she said “It is not haram to communicate with ghost but this is haram if you will try to know about future…”
And for the crystals. Its not haram to wear them or keeping them as decorations. But its haram to think that they can control you, or heal she said “Wearing crystals with this believe that they can heal or they can control you is completely a misconception … no reality in this… ”
Im not trying to be rude or anything, Im just saying incase someone wondered
